Due to the popularity of The Pafuri Traverse, bookings are held provisionally for 24 hours only. A 20% deposit is required within this period to confirm your place
Fastest-Fingers-First Principle
Bookings operate on a fastest-fingers-first basis. Availability is confirmed on a first-come, first-served principle.
Rates & Deposits
- Rates quoted in ZAR and include VAT
- 20% refundable deposit required to confirm
- Final payment due 60 days prior to arrival
- Late payment incurs 3% weekly penalty
Cancellations
- Cancellation before 61 days: 20% commitment fee forfeited
- Cancellation within 60 days: full reservation value forfeited
- Refunds (if applicable) subject to 5% handling fee
Pandemic Clause
- Postponement allowed for up to 12 months if travel is impacted by WHO-recognised pandemic
- Full refund if RETURN Africa is unable to deliver due to pandemic restrictions (less 3% handling fee)
Insurance
- Strongly advised: travel and emergency medical cover
Age Requirements
- The minimum age for participation in The Pafuri Traverse is 16 years. Younger participants, aged 12 to 15, may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to maturity, physical readiness, and prior wilderness experience. Final approval rests with the guiding team.
Slackpack Supplement
- Subject to feasibility and surcharge
- Quoted separately by RETURN Africa
Minimum Charge Clause
- Trails priced for 6 guests minimum
- Groups with fewer than 6 participants will be billed at the 6-person minimum rate unless a Solo / Small-Group departure date is selected or approved.
