WHY PAFURI FOR BIRDING?
Pafuri sits at the intersection of riverine forests, sandveld, mopane woodlands, and floodplains, creating an extraordinary concentration of species in a compact area.
Birding here rewards patience and presence. Migrants arrive and depart with the seasons, while resident species call from the canopy and understorey. Each outing is a study in movement, sound, and colour.

Over 450 species have been recorded to date. Guided activities emphasize listening, close identification, and verifiable sightings, with less focus on ticking boxes and more on attentive engagement with the landscape.
