EVENTS AT RETURN AFRICA
WEDDINGS / CELEBRATIONS: Your wedding ceremony can be held in several locations within the Makuleke Contractual Park, the most stunning being the Fever Tree forest, the Ana Tree forest, or the Luvuvhu flood plain. Your wedding reception will be held on the decks of Pafuri Camp overlooking the Luvuvhu River.
CONFERENCES: Pafuri Camp’s large decks and thatched meeting room perched on the banks of the Luvuvhu river provide an idyllic venue for any team getaway, strategy session or conference. Your group can participate in meetings surrounded by the sounds and sights of the riverine forest. Depending on the schedule the delegates can be treated to morning and afternoon game drives, delicious meals and still have plenty of time to sit around a fire and get to know each other better.
ACCOMMODATION: Pafuri Camp has a total of nineteen tents and can sleep fifty two guests in total; seven family tents that can sleep up to four people, and twelve double tents that sleep up to two people, Baobab Hill House has four bedrooms and can accommodate an additional eight guests and Pafuri Walking Safaris (open between April and October) can sleep up to sixteen people in eight bush tents.
FOOD & BEVERAGES: Pafuri can accommodate most dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, halaal, kosher, banting, gluten-free, lactose intolerant) and food preferences. However, due to our remote location, some foods are not locally available to us through our suppliers. We highly recommend that any specific requirements and changes to the current menu are discussed and agreed with our head chef at least a month in advance of your event. Our reservations office in Johannesburg is the first point of contact for this purpose. Please note that changes or additions to the offered menus will be quoted on if necessary.
We have a fully stocked and well-priced bar at Pafuri Camp, but we do understand that there may be some special beverages that you want on your day, we charge a R 250 corkage fee on wines and champagnes up to a maximum of one dozen (12) bottles.
VENUE HIRE: R45 000.
Includes: Staff to assist with set up and clean up, and certain furniture and décor items.
Excludes cost of:
- Suppliers or contractors, their transport and accommodation (eg photographer, technicians, hairstylist, florist, DJ* etc)
- Additional hire of lighting and sound equipment
- Décor items beyond that available at no charge from the Camp
- Note: Music can only be played if Camp has been booked for exclusive use (minimum of 15 tents). Music can continue until midnight.
